Hugel Wine Dinner – Wednesday 14th March
Posted 17 February , 2012 - By Holly Jackson - Carters of Moseley

The term ‘dynasty’ is one which is probably banded about rather too frequently these days but with a history dating back to 1639, the Hugel family is perhaps more deserving than most of such a description.
Based in the ancient and pretty town of Riquewihr which, somehow, has managed to survive intact through a succession of wars, Hugel & Fils is one of Alsace’s genuine Grandes Maisons. The family’s role in the development and success of the region’s winescannot be overstated as evidenced by the proliferation of their distinctive yellow labels which grace the shelves of merchants and restaurants the world over.

We are therefore delighted to welcome Etienne Hugel to Carters on the 14th March to introduce to us a range from some of their most recent vintages. These are wines which are wonderfully food friendly and we are looking forward to a true ‘gastronomic experience’.
